The one-minute setup fix

Before you buy a camera, raise your phone.

A low lens can make a good phone look like the problem. Run the same shot twice and let the frame tell you what to fix.

Same phone. Same sentence. One change.

Keep the room, lighting, and camera settings identical. Change only the lens height so you can tell whether height is the real issue.

1

Record your baseline

Put the phone where it normally sits. Record one short sentence or product demonstration.

2

Raise the lens

Use stable books or a box. Bring the lens near eye level and keep roughly the same distance.

3

Record it again

Repeat the exact sentence. Compare where your eye goes first: face, hands, product, or desk.

Did the raised shot read more clearly?

If yes, a stand may make that height repeatable. If not, keep your money and check lighting or audio next.

See the next step

Buy only when the free test helps.

The test is useful even if the answer is “no.” It narrows down what deserves your attention and budget.

If the frame did not improve

Fix another bottleneck.

A better angle will not solve distant audio, flat light, or a product that is too small in frame.
